Vol. 50 No. 94 (2023): Afrodescendientes en América Latina y el Caribe
The objective of this issue of Apuntes is to offer a variety of critical perspectives on the experience of being Afro-descendant in Latin America, highlighting the individual and collective resilience of the diverse black communities in the region. The articles in this special issue challenge traditional historical narratives surrounding these populations and propose new ways of understanding the sociopolitical processes in which they participate. This dossier in Apuntes contributes to the development of Afro-Latin American Studies and provides a deeper understanding of the situation of the Afro-descendant population in the region, as well as their most pressing demands.
