Abstract

Peru has signed more than twenty-two international trade agreements to date that offer tariff benefits for the import of goods. According to Supreme Decree 150-2007-EF, in order to request the refund of taxes paid in excess importers must - as a condition for the procedure - comply with the requirement of proving payment to foreign suppliers for the purchase of goods, using banking and financial systems, which is creating problems, especially for large and formal companies.
