Abstract

This article compares the merger control systems of the European Union and Peru in order to identify elements of the European model that could strengthen the Peruvian regime. After examining their historical origins and operation, it concludes that the Peruvian system, despite its sound conceptual alignment, presents structural shortcomings, and proposes a reform agenda inspired by the European experience.
