An approximation to the diversity management in Peru

Diversity management has gained importance in enterprises of the first world, as a diverse group of people can bring benefits to organizations. However, we can still find at nearby businesses, women regarded as second-class citizens, and over 50 years old employees losing their jobs because of the stereotypes associated with age. This paper discusses the diversity management as imperative for companies in the XXI century, but also recognizes the associated risks. In the framework the areas of diversity and leading practices that are developed to properly manageit are explained. Furthermore, the results of the interviews with four companies operating in Peru and managing diversity are shown. Finally, conclusions of the study are presented.
