  • Dra. Beatriz Rodríguez Satizábal (2024-2028)
    Universidad del Pacífico, Lima (Perú)
    PhD in Management (Queen Mary University of London), she is a professor and researcher in Economic and Business History and Digital Humanities at Universidad del Pacífico (Peru). Her research focuses on the evolution of the business system during the 20th century in Latin America, with a special emphasis on business families, family businesses, women entrepreneurs, and advertising in Colombia and Peru. In addition to being the editor-in-chief of Apuntes, Revista de Ciencias Sociales, she is co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Evolutionary Studies in Business (Q3). She is a co-founder of the Business Pills Podcast and former president of the Colombian Association of Economic and Business History (2022-2024).

    Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (Chile)
    Assistant Professor at Adolfo Ibáñez University, specializing in economic and financial history, with an emphasis on sovereign debt, international banking, and 20th-century financial crises in Latin America, particularly during the interwar period and the debt crisis of the 1980s. He has published in the Latin American Research Review, Financial History Review, and Journal of Latin American Studies, among others. He is the author of Mexican Banks and Foreign Finance: From Internationalization to Financial Crisis, 1973–1982 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019) and recipient of the 2016 Prix de la Relève from the Swiss Academy of Human and Social Sciences. PhD in Economic and Social History from the University of Geneva and Master's in Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

  • Dra. Débora Ascencio (2026-2031)
    Universidad de Buenos Aires y CONICET (Argentina)
    PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires and Master's in Economic Sociology from the National University of San Martín. She is a CONICET postdoctoral researcher and professor at the University of Buenos Aires, where she directs a project on public services for economic infrastructure in Argentina, and at Adolfo Ibáñez University (Santiago, Chile). Her research focuses on the State and its institutional capacities, with an emphasis on the governance and performance of Latin American public enterprises, combining economic sociology, economic history, and comparative public administration. She also conducts studies on corporate elites, energy transition, and social structure. She is the author of book chapters and articles in prestigious, internationally indexed journals.

  • Dra. Roxana Barrantes (2024-2028)
    Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (Perú)
    PhD and Master's degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She is a registered researcher with RENACYT (Carlos Monge Medrano Category, Level III) and Principal Researcher at the Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP). At PUCP, she is a Full Professor in the Department of Economics and Director of the School of Government and Public Policy. In the public sector, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. She has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of PETROPERÚ, Chief of Staff of Advisors at the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), member of the Board of Directors of the Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency (OEFA), and official at the Supervisory Agency for Infrastructure and Transportation Infrastructure (Ositran), the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel), the Superintendency of Sanitation Services (Sunass), and the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi).

  • Dr. Rafael Cortez (2026-2031)
    Universidad del Pacífico (Perú)
    Professor and researcher in economics at Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru), specializing in microeconomic analysis, health financing, and maternal, child, and adolescent social protection. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota. He was a senior economist and team leader at the World Bank, with 20 years of experience in health system financing and performance, leading reforms in more than 15 countries. He has advised the social health insurance agency in Peru and coordinated studies for PAHO, IDB, UNICEF, JICA, and USAID. He has published eight books and more than 25 peer-reviewed scientific articles.

  • Dra. Patricia Palma (2026-2031)
    Universidad de Tarapacá (Chile)
    Historian, with a Master's and PhD in Latin American History from the University of California, Davis. She currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Historical and Geographical Sciences at the Universidad de Tarapacá (Arica, Chile). Her research and publications focus on the sociocultural history of health in Peru and Latin America, and restrictive migration policies in Chile and Peru. She is the principal investigator of the Millennium Nucleus on the Impacts of China in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her current project addresses the history of education in northern Chile, with an emphasis on health processes and teacher turnover in Chilean schools during the 20th century.

  • Dr. Oscar Palma (2026-2031)
    Universidad del Rosario (Colombia)
    Full Professor in the Faculty of Political Science, Government, and International Relations. PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Master's in International Security Studies from the University of Leicester, where he was a Chevening Scholar. Visiting Research Fellow at King's College London and guest lecturer at the George Marshall European Center for Security Studies. He served as External Intelligence Analyst at the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces and Secretary of the Colombia-Ecuador Binational Border Commission. He has been a visiting professor at military and intelligence institutions and has taught at Javeriana University, Nueva Granada Military University, and LSE. He has published on security and conflict and directed consulting projects for organizations in the United States and Europe.

  • Dra. Karina Ramacciotti (2024-2028)
    Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina)
    PhD in Social Sciences and Bachelor's degree in History from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is a Principal Investigator at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council) and a Full Professor of Social History at the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. She directs nationally significant projects focused on public health and nursing, such as PISAC-COVID and PICTO REDES. She has extensive experience teaching postgraduate courses in Argentina and at international institutions such as NYU and Swarthmore College. She is a leading author specializing in the social history of health and disease and the history of social and healthcare professions, with 15 published books and 72 articles in high-impact journals.

  • Dra. Úrsula Zurita (2024-2028)
    Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales - FLACSO (México)
    Sociologist with a Master's degree in Political Sociology and a PhD in Political Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) (2003). Since 2004, she has been a full-time professor and researcher, and Head of the Gender Studies Office at FLACSO Mexico. She has taught at institutions in Mexico and Colombia, and was a visiting researcher at Boston University. She has directed and reviewed approximately 80 graduate theses. She serves on the editorial boards of scientific journals in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. She is a Level II Researcher with the National System of Researchers (SNII-SECIHTI). Her research interests include gender, peace, school violence, youth, and educational inclusion. She has been a member of the Mexican Council for Research in Higher Education (COMIE) since 2008, a founding member of the National Network for Peace in Higher Education (ANUIES) and the FLACSO Regional Youth Group, and a member of the CLACSO Working Group.
