Abstract

Honorio Delgado is still the most eminent authority in the history of psychiatric and psychopathological study in Peru and the spanish-speaking world. This article is an attempt to extract from the multi-faceted work of Honorario Delgado, not only in psychiatry, psychopathology, psychology, neurology, biology, ecology and medicine, bu also in philosophy, education, literary and biographical studies, and humanities as a whole, what one might call the “honorian” vision of the man, the explicit and largely implicit fundamental anthropology present in his vast work. The man's vision is enormously stimulating, in that it urges the nobility of the human condition on to its greatest possibilities. Honorio Delgado is a master of a higher existence.
