This issue of Apuntes concentrates on Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. It contains studies about the development of a new working class and the vicissitudes of foreign policy in Brazil and Argentina, and about Catholic youth and public health in Argentina. There are two articles about economy, society, and history in Peru: one analyzing the so-called ‘NEET’ (those not in education, employment or training) phenomenon, and another reviewing relations between society, science, and technology through a study of the life of Peruvian intellectual Mariano Eduardo de Rivero y Ustáriz.
